The individual interpretive programs you'll find at BirdCountry.US are ones that we have used in numerous presentations to groups numbering from just a few folks to well over 100. All of our programs come in PowerPoint (ppt.) format and can be used on any computer that has Microsoft PowerPoint 97 (or later), or Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 2003 software. Since we are constantly creating new programs for use in the many events, symposiums, and festivals we attend, the list of programs available to you will constantly change as well. Check back regularly to see what we have added. Or, better yet, email us and let us know what type of programs you need and we will work with you to create it.
Our programs will generally come in both a home and professional version. The main difference between these two formats is the control that you, the end-user, has over the program. Home versions are generally timed and narrated. You watch them on your computer the same way you might watch a program on TV. The home versions can also be used in an interpretive kiosk in nature centers, at trade shows, or birding events and festivals. If your nature center or organization's finances are tight (and who's aren't), this is definitely the way to go.
Professional versions are not automated; you have the flexibility to manipulate the order of the slides and add or delete components of the program to fit your own particular needs. (A full version of Microsoft PowerPoint is required.) Our programs are planned to take 45 minutes to an hour to present before an average audience, including a Q & A period. In addition to the program, you get complete notes on each slide that will enable you to include as much or as little information as your time allotment allows. What both versions have in common is their high quality and tremendous value in avian conservation and education.

Getting HIGH MARKS on Field Identification

There is not a birder alive that can honestly say they have identified every single bird they have ever seen. And how many of us have missed a bird because we "only had a glimpse?" This program will help you focus on field marks so you can spend your time in the field looking at the bird and save looking at the field guide until later. Even though the technique described and practiced in this program are useful anywhere in the world, we can customize the program with a mixture of images of birds from your area. Download a preview of the program, then let us know by email how you would like the program customized. To order yours, visit our E-Store today.
Birding is one of the fastest growing activities in the country and there is nothing that says that growth is going to slow anytime soon. More and more people want to know more and more about their new hobby and this presentation allows them to do just that. We cover bird feeders and feeding, optics, field guides, identification tips, birding and the Internet, citizen science, and more. This program is available in both home and professional versions, so go to our e-Store and order your copy today.

>>>>> Another great book on the BirdCountry.US bookshelf <<<<<
Destined to become a classic (if it
isn't already one)
National Audubon Society: The Sibley Guide to Birds
David Allen Sibley, flex cover, 543 pages.
"Published in 2000, this book quickly became the 'go to' book for birders. Although it is a bit bulky for the field, every birder should have this on their reference shelf."
- BirdCountry.US
This book is the definitive work in bird identification. Sibley includes more than 6,600 illustrations of 810 species and 325 regional populations. You might go so far to say that if you can't find the bird in this book, it doesn't exist. Only $35.00.
