3:00 p.m. - Scouting Outing

Our scouts have been out all week, but something new may very well have come in last night. Let's get in the mood for the weekend by taking a leisurely stroll down the road just to see what we can find.

7:00 p.m. - Welcome

It's going to be a wonderful weekend, full of birds, birdsong, and more birds. Warblers, vireos, tanagers, the list goes on and on. Jeff Riegel, Director of BirdCountry.US, will kick things off with a short welcome message and introductions of many of our guest speakers for the weekend, then he will give you an idea of what you can expect at the 1st Annual Hill Country Warbler Fest.

7:15 p.m. - The Brown County Hills Project

While we already have a fantastic resource in the Hill Country forests, we can't afford to relax in protecting and even expanding this magnificent resource ,,, and protection and expansion are exactly what The Nature Conservancy is doing with the Brown County Hills Project. Join TNC Project Manager Dan Shaver for a look at this all-important resource and discover what the project entails.

8:00 p.m. - Hill Country Warblers - Part I

The warblers are one of those groups of birds that tend to intimidate folks. But that doesn't need to be the case. Expert birders and Indiana University biology professors, Drs. Jim and Susan Hengeveld, will take us through this fascinating group of birds by sight and sound, preparing us for our outing tomorrow morning.
