Sunday, May 2

5:30 a.m. - Dawn Chorus ... Again

In case you missed it yesterday morning, there are several species of birds with unique songs that they sing only at dawn ... a type of "Good Morning, World" that they utter only at this special time of day. Join Brad Jackson and Geoff Keller with a cup of coffee and greet the day with the birds. (This is a repeat of Saturday morning's outing.)

8:00 a.m. - Warblers, Warblers, and Warblers

How are we doing with our weekend bird lists? Let's make sure everyone has seen everything around and add even more and more species as we try to set the bar for next year's Hill Country Warbler Fest. Several leaders, including Brad Jackson, Geoff Keller, and Jeff Riegel, will be on hand to help you find that elusive species you need for your list.

10:00 a.m. - Photographing Birds and Foreign Lands

Many birders are just as much into photographing those birds as they are into the birds themselves, and bird photography can be tricky, as you may well know. But did you ever have to battle 60 mph winds while you're trying to get that one special shot? Or have you ever had to dodge mine fields in a quest for that special bird? Award-winning photographer Jeff Hammond has, on a trip to the Falkland Islands. But that didn't stop him from getting the shot. See his results and hear about his experiences while photographing birds in a foreign land.

Reduced registration fees are available for university students with valid ID.

12:00 Noon - Wrap-Up and Good-byes

How has the weekend gone for you? What parts did you especially enjoy? What parts left you wanting more? What was our total for a species list? And finally, what can we all do when we get home to be better birders and conservationists?

Travel carefully and we'll see you next year.
